SloSumo is doing an awesome job with the tickets + paypal disputes. They're pretty much all caught up. And tickets in general are way down, 488 active tickets right now. 80 or so need my attention... So that's looking good!

SloSumo is also working through the paypal disputes, approving ones who's campaigns didn't activate. And instantly banning + contesting any users attempting to chargeback an active campaign.... We have a zero tolerance policy with PP chargebacks.

The programmers are busy working on the site, I don't know when we'll perform the downtime to switch to the new datacenter....
Right now Yan is preparing the servers, and the programmers (Alex, Daniel, Paul & a bit of Lucas) are overhauling our code server configs in general. It's a lot of work for absolutely no visual difference - but this is all about the core mechanics of the site, and ultimately whether it works or not at scale. So it's vital & key to the website loading quickly.

Once we're transferred over to the new datacenter and the website is ready for crazy traffic.

These are the two big upcoming evolutions of MTV, to really turn our system into a crowd funding machine, where users both conceptualize + fund all sorts of projects both online & offline.

We should also hear something next week from PayPal regarding accepting credit cards via BrainTree. We have our account manager pulling strings to get us approved there.

Neteller is in Pauls hands, I expect that'll be installed later this week - once the server transition has been concluded.

And just for your info, here is a report that PayPal sent us the other day; after one idiot made 30+ transaction of $1.38 via credit card, then charged them all back - only $30 worth of fraud; but the credit card chargeback fines are the problem; $25 a hit. But PP should be writing those off for us this time (otherwie that'd be $500+ in fees for $30 of fraud from one individual- which is silly)... But as you can see, our levels of fraud are incredibly low; to the point where one bad individual stands out like crazy... And most disputes we win anyway; the only ones we lose are compromised PP accounts and full on credit card fraud. Which is very rare....

I'm not sure what i'm doing about a PV AD Issue today... I want to see how the programmers proceed & whether we move over later today or not.

And Cashouts I'll pay tomorrow. The programmers are messing with all sorts of code and we need to check its all working before we process the $30k+ worth of pending cashouts.

Good morning everyone,

We will be tested the new infra this morning, Alex is finishing the redis db and mysql part after what we will make a series of test.

Yesterday we ran into an issue with Dbmaster server, it keep crashes on us while working with the Db.

After a troubleshooting i found out that a memory module was defect and i had to have an operator replace it.

The replacement was done during the night, this morning i ran several stress test tool to make sure the error was gone for good.

I ran the same test on other servers, they are all good, only had issue with one ram slot on dbmaster which caused us some delays.

I expect to be completed by today, the dns switch will occur either today late ( EST time ) or tomorrow.

We will keep you guys updated !

Há "captchas" no PaidVerts impossíveis... que atrofio :S

Devem andar os "pequenos" a trabalhar... para os grandes... O pequeno upgrade, mais de 600 ads! E uma meia dúzia de anúncios de 0.01... o Resto, era palha... Daí para cá, uma miséria. Ontem, nem me lembro se tive algum anúncio para além dos 8... Cheira-me a "bosta"... e da grande! O tipo que tire um pouco de ar que trás no peito, caso contrário, aterra como muitos...

Quando isso acontece clica no botão "?" para reportar esse captcha ao solvemedia.
Não garanto que vais ter melhor captchas, mas pelo menos fica reportado.

Outras práticas que poderão ajudar quando os captchas torna-se impossíveis é de ler é limpar o cache e cookies do browser. Experimentar outro browser. E por fim desligares o teu router por pelo menos 5min e depois volta a ligar.

Por fim queria dizer que o SolveMedia é que são responsáveis pelos captchas que recebemos e não o Paidverts.

É impressão minha ou isto esta a ir por agua abaixo???? O valor dos anúncios esta cada vez mais baixo...estou no nivel 7 e o anúncio maior foi um de $0.20...

And todays ad issue is going to be tiny... I'm just issuing a $10k nominal result. (We have $103k saved up ready to announce a big issue whenever we're ready, and we can add another 100-200k to that via share buy-backs if need be)... So effectively we can clear 10% of our entire debt at will.

This might not be popular (today) ; but we need to play our cards carefully. As there's only so many resources we have to use to get the growth we're looking for; and I don't want to spend them when our business is being held back by other factors (server issues) .

I've asked the programmers to change over to the new datacenter as soon as they're done testing. No idea when that'll be, maybe tonight, tomorrow, next day. But we need to get that sorted. And then we'll fire out the big issues.
